On September 24, I began the flexible plan aka the Points plan. I recorded my starting weight. I noted everything I consumed and logged it into the online points tracker. I even planned "cheating" this weekend; and on Saturday I did indulge in a big way. I also logged my exercise or activity points. I completely stayed within the plan for the entire week. No carb and fat laden lunches because of stress. No munching on junk just because it is there.
This morning I checked the scale and, to my shock and delight, I learned that I lost
NINE yes 9 lbs IN ONE WEEK !!!!!
I realize that a rapid weight loss isn't something that will continue and it isn't healthy. After the first two weeks, I will slow down to a more realistic and healthful 2 to 3 lbs per week. But seeing that drop on the scale was a great way to start the day and a great way to reinforce my motivation to stay on the plan.
